Alex Stepney

In 1975, the Manchester United keeper screamed so hard at his team mates that he broke his jaw!

Dave Beasant

The veteran keeper was ruled out for eight weeks in 1992 after dropping a bottle of salad cream on his right foot and severing the tendon in his big toe. Beasant said "I couldn't even control the bottle!".

Gary Naysmith

The Scotland Under 21 skipper was preparing to take a throw in in Bosnia - when he fell down a man-hole. Naysmith who now plays for Everton, said: "I stood on the drain cover and it disappeared under my feet. You don't expect that sort of thing to happen in International football." 

David Seaman

England's number 1 suffered a back strain as he reached for the remote control to record Coronation Street.

Les Ferdinand

Tottenham's former England striker fractured his wrist in March 2002 when he fell down the stairs at home. Ferdinand who was walking gingerly at the time because of an achilles injury said "My kids were laughing at me for falling down the stairs but I soon realised it was serious!".
